Shawsheen Valley Technical School Receives $240,000 for Welding Program
Shawsheen Valley Technical School received a grant of about $240,000 to buy all the needed equipment for expansion of the program devoted to metal fabrication and welding. The school will be equipped with the latest innovative instruments to provide advanced manufacturing and construction courses which are really needed in Middlesex County. The present requirements to any education in the sphere of welding and metal fabrication make each tech school get cutting-edge equipment that would help grow professional welders.
Thanks to this equipment, students will have a chance to get the proper knowledge of metal fabrication and joining technologies. Besides, students will be able to get involved in learning metal forming techniques, mechanical cutting operations according to the standards of the present industry.
