Welders without borders

The event lastest two days and invited all the students to take part in this event. Testing welding skills and team work are the main mission of the competition and, based on the results, the college will be able to concentrate the attention on the skills to be developed

.

The competition was held on Friday and Saturday and teams will be given a clear task to build the same products. They are going to be a grill and picnic table. Such factors as weld quality, teamwork and safety will be taken into account when scoring. The task for the second day is to add something special to the built grills and tables, trying to make them different from other products in the market.

Finally, all the products will be used for cooking and serving lunch to the jury. The teams werer prepared for the competition but they do not want to discover what secret component of their built products will be. The students had a lot of time to train their skills and the competition is supposed to be hot.

Instructors of the teams are confident about their students and only competition will show how good they are prepared. Organizers consider that the competition is fun but each of the participants needs to learn something from it. New skills or working as a team is a good reason for participating and winning. In general, there are about eight teams who want to take part.
