When using the Millermatic 211 in Auto-Set mode, the user just need to select the welding wire thickness as well as the thickness of the metal and it will do the rest of the computation. It also has a Multi-Voltage Plug that lets you use a standard 120v outlet or a 230v one when your need to weld thicker sheets of metal. All you need to do is to change the plug ends. At 120v, you can weld up to a maximum of 3/16 inch metal. At 230v, the maximum is 3/8 inch thick.

Another feature of the Millermatic 211 is the duty cycle. It is the number of minutes out of a 10 minute period where the machine can operate without overheating. The duty cycle of the Millermatic 211 is three minutes or 30 percent duty cycle when using 230v and two minutes in 120v. This is more than enough for light welding jobs at home.

When you first use any welding machine, the first thing you must do is to read the manual. When you use the machine, wear a pair of welding gloves and a helmet.
