Baton Rouge Community to Expand Welding Program
Every welding college in the United States intends to increase its capacity to satisfy the needs of the local industries. That is why Baton Rouge Community is trying to expand the current welding program into Ascension Parish. This need appeared as a result of the increased requirements that are presented by the local companies. The thing is that the difference in wages between a skilled welder and a newcomer is great.
An experienced welder can earn $43 per hour while a young professional will have just $23 per hour. That is why a lot of welders want to get more skills and get more profound welding education. Thought the demand for welders is high, a lot of companies are looking for skills. That is one of the reasons Baton Rouge Community decided to expand the welding program and to make it more demanded among welders.
Industry leaders are pushing educational establishments to teach more welders as industries are expanding as well and a lot of turnaround work is coming. Also, Baton Rouge Community cooperates closely with Chicago Bridge & Iron Company and to increase the efficiency of education, the company provided an instructor who could tailor the curriculum and requirements needed for future welders. As a result, graduates of the welding course will be more prepared for working at the company and the company will not spend time on additional education and training of welders.
All the students that are going to finish this welding program will be evaluated and if the skills meet the requirements, they will be successfully certified. No one will say that the program is easy and if you want to get a highly paid job, you need to be ready to spend thousands of hours training. If you have a strong decision to get welding skills, the course will endure for 15 weeks and will start on May26.
